Kentucky Route Zero

Cardboard Computer·10 hours

You play Conway, an aging deliveryman trying to find an address that only exists on the Zero, a mysterious underground highway in Kentucky. The story unfolds over five acts that took the studio seven years to finish, and it plays less like a normal adventure game than a piece of digital theater. You mostly walk, talk, and choose what people say, and the choices rarely change the plot. They change the mood. The whole thing is about debt, work, and the slow disappearance of ordinary American lives, told through ghosts, bureaucrats, and a giant glowing eagle. It is strange, calm, and very sad, and it stays with you.
