The Last of Us Part I

A fungal plague has hollowed out the United States. Joel, a smuggler who has lost a daughter, takes a job moving a fourteen-year-old named Ellie across the country because she might be immune. What starts as a delivery turns into the thing he swore off after his own loss. The 2022 version rebuilds the 2013 original from the ground up with new performances and lighting. The combat is brutal and close, scarce on ammo, and it wants you to feel each fight as a cost. By the end Joel makes a choice that the game refuses to flatter, and you sit with it.
