Thom Yorke separated from his partner of twenty-three years, and this came out the following year. Jonny Greenwood arranged the songs for the London Contemporary Orchestra, so the sadness arrives in strings and choir instead of electronics. The last track is True Love Waits, a fan favorite the band had played live since 1995 but never managed to record. The version here is slow, bare piano, and hard to listen to twice in a row.
