Stigma

This is a short, strange, fully painted one-shot. An amnesiac man wanders a ruined world under a permanently ashen sky where birds are said to be extinct. A boy named Tito falls from above, nicknames the stranger Stork, and the two travel together through a bleak landscape toward something neither fully understands. There is barely a plot in the conventional sense; it is more a mood piece and a showcase. What makes it notable is that Minekura drew the entire thing in full color, rare for manga of its era, and the result reads less like a comic and more like an illustrated fable.
