Burial released two albums before anyone knew his name; he turned out to be William Bevan, a Londoner who recorded alone in his bedroom using basic software and no proper drum machine. Untrue is built from chopped vocal samples, pitched up and down until they sound like crowds of half-present people. Under them sit garage rhythms, vinyl crackle, and the hum of a city at night. It is dance music for staying home.
