Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, and George Clinton all play on it. The songs are about what happens after you make it out: guilt about the friends still in Compton, the pull of money, depression in a hotel room. Between tracks he reads a poem that grows a few lines longer each time, until the last song reveals who he has been reading it to.
