
By 2000 La Ley had moved to Mexico and smoothed the gothic edges off their sound. Uno is eleven songs in 46 minutes, led by Aquí, a straight love song that became one of their biggest hits. The album won a Latin Grammy in 2001. Where Invisible was about death, this one is about starting over, and it sounds like it: acoustic guitars up front, electronics serving the songs instead of the mood.
