Guillermo Anderson sang Honduras, specifically the Caribbean coast around his home city of La Ceiba, for decades. This 2000 album, subtitled Canciones a Voz y Guitarra, strips everything to voice and guitar: twelve songs in 46 minutes, released on Costa Norte, his own label. The last track is En Mi País, which Hondurans treat as a second national anthem. The title song is about a poor sailor, and the whole record keeps that scale: small boats, small towns, the sea.
