JoJo's Bizarre Adventure began in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987 and is still going, now split into multiple parts and well past a hundred volumes. Each part follows a new member of the Joestar family across a different era, from Victorian England to 1980s Japan and beyond, all tied to a long feud against an immortal enemy. From the third part on, fights run on Stands, visible spirit-powers with strange rules, which turned the series into elaborate combat puzzles. Araki's style is unmistakable: muscular, fashion-obsessed figures frozen in extreme poses, bold color, and a flair for menace. VIZ Media publishes it in English.
